We're back at the CCC camp again.
This morning we got up late, as usual. We ran through the usual chores: Lew walked the dogs, Bobbi set out breakfast and cleaned the dishes while Lew hitched. Once more it was up I-75 and s-l-o-w-l-y over the Mackinaw bridge (to admire the beauty again) and turn left on US-2. Bobbi bought a pasty for our lunch, then we continued to MI-77 where we went up to Big Cedar Campground again. Since nothing has changed in the intervening week, no comment necessary.
This was a short day, so we arrived in the middle of the afternoon. Lew gave the dogs long walks, then sat down to puzzle out where we might stay the next two nights. Problem is, Michigan has lots of nice (albeit expensive) campgrounds, while Wisconsin seems to have leftovers. Bobbi wanted to stop at the city campground in Menominee MI the next night -- but then we would have either a very long day following, or would have to find a campground in a region seemingly devoid of civilized facilities.
