Bobbi now is scheduled for major back surgery on 13 January. This means
- There will be no gulf coast vacation for us this year. Instead, we will be forced to shiver in damp dank dark central Ohio.
- We will miss seeing our treasured relatives -- Scott, Su, and their two children; Linda, Luther and his family, and all of the Holm-Franke relatives in and around the San Antonio-Austin metroplex.
- Bobbi will have to endure considerable pain and be unable to work for 6 months.
This will make over a year during which events beyond our control have conspired to keep us from traveling and visiting. We are acutely aware none of us are getting any younger, and we particularly regret being unable to see our grandchildren grow up.
