Well, so much for the sun and the mockingbirds. Today the temperature may be in the 70's, but it has been raining all day. The wind is picking up, and although I've not looked at weather.com, I presume cold air is pushing in.
We haven't accomplished any more really than any other day since we arrived. Scott remains quite busy holding his church together (the bulletins for Sunday have not yet arrived, etc.), and Sue continues to hold other people's houses together in the morning, then does her own in the afternoon. George arrives home a little after 2, Brian later in the afternooon. And the dogs continue to stretch out on the beds -- not much interest in exertion, even chasing squirrels.
To Bobbi and I, these two grandchildren are model children. Unfortunately, our own children are a different story. Rob needs a case manager. He managed to get his gas shut off today, the day of the worst winter storm in some years. So he keeps phoning Bobbi trying to get her to rescue him by long distance. Bobbi would like to find him a case manager, but to date she herself has played the role. Fortunately, Paul has kept a low profile -- we are happy our backup house sitter has had nothing to do (she says).
Stay tuned.
