Columbus OH

Another 2 weeks. And again we must apologize to our readers for a blog that nothing but a continuing medical report. Readers never want to read about someone's aches and pains, but when medical events are the only ones that occur in people's lives, there is little choice.

However, this time there is a little more progress to report. Bobbi's left hip pain continues and even increases. She has consulted both our pain specialist and the surgeon who specializes in backs. After examining her, they decided to send her for another MRI - today, by coincidence. There will be little waiting this time because the scans will be reviewed immediately by the back specialist. And then?

Despite her pain and almost daily medical consultations, Bobbi continues very active in our church, reading for mass and helping with the ladies' projects such as the festival and the community dinners they hold for the local impoverished families.

Lew actually continues to improve slowly in most ways after his kidney stones. However, his back continues to limit him sharply. Nevertheless he is beginning to get together aids and procedures to circumvent those limitations. So he may start to get out more in the future.

While Bobbi remains active in our church, Lew no longer can stand long enough to help distribute communion. So he sits pretty passively in the pew. His goal remains to get out of town, even if only for a night.

The beat goes on, but the rythmn is a a bit ragged.
