Again too much time has passed. Readers deserve an explanation.

All was going well until the second (Sunday). Bobbi had just left for prison when Rob and Lew attempted to save a baby raccoon that had wandered out of their usual home around here - the storm sewers - and was wandering in the street in front of Bobbi's house. Unfortunately, the little thing failed to go back down into the sewers and remained out in the street. After dark a neighbor drove rapidly up the street (stupid because the street ended in no more than 100 feet), and ran over the little tyke. Really grossed us all out, Lew most of all. When the neighbor simply left the corpse, Rob at least had the decency to bury it.

Then on the fourth (Tuesday) Lew also was in a hurry and hit the wrong button on the computer. Somehow this trashed the operating system. Fortunately he had backed everything up on the first and keeps the data files in a separate partition, so he did not lose data. However, he had to spend that evening and the next day reinstalling the OS and reconfiguring it. For the next few days he also had to reinstall the apps and continued to come across settings that had to be re-set. He had less labor than most people (most people don't back up their files) but it still was a tedious bummer that consumed time he wanted to use for other things (like this blog).

While going through all this labor Lew came across a site containing many vintage photos, mostly from the first half of the 20th century, but also quite a few from the 19th century.

MEDICAL REPORT: all status's remain pretty much quo. No one is planning any surgery at this time.
