Not a happy time. Bobbi is stressed to the breaking point. The one bright spot is the aptitude Paul has shown for nursing g'ma. He really is doing a remarkable job. He, the grandchild, is the one g'ma really leans and depends on at this time, the one whose presence seems to reassure her. Interesting (at least to the psychiatrist in me).
Friday (the 30th) was a repeat of Thursday -- Bobbi in Jackson, Lew dogsitting. But the next day (Saturday the 31st) Bobbi stayed in Columbus and insisted on doing the grocery shopping at Kroger before they left for mass. Afterwards, Father Benecki surprised them by inviting them with Nancy Hoskins to stay for a home-cooked meal of vegetarian pizza, salad, and the inevitable French wine. Bobbi demonstrated her usual low tolerance for alcohol (and her earlier medication with clonazepam) by promptly becoming a very happy drunk -- and everyone else relaxed a little.
Sunday (the 1st) Bobbi was back to her Jackson commute, then decompressed by going to Frazier Health Center on Monday (the 2nd). It goes without saying that Lew was dogsitting.
Tuesday (the 3rd) Lew had another Deaf clinic at St. Vincent Family Center, so Bobbi had to do the dogsitting duty again (which was good for her). But the next day she was back in Jackson again.
Thursday (the 4th) was a change of venue, though not a change of pace (that is, hectic). Bobbi had scheduled a very busy day for herself here in Columbus -- Dr. Ruane (accupuncture) at 9, Dr. Hackshaw (connective tissue disease) at 11, and her hairdresser at 1, then after supper a visit to a former AT whom they had sort of shepherded through her pregnancy, to see her new baby.
But today (the 5th) Bobbi is back in Jackson, while Lew once again holds down the fort with the three sleepy furry children, and catches up on correspondance (like this blog).
